Staff Design Engineer, NVM IP Product Engineer

Job Description

Design of advanced nonvolatile memory IP products.

IP product definition with Marketing and customer inputs

Perform analog and mixed-signal logic and circuit design and verification. Make trade-offs of area, performance, and power at the architecture and circuit level

Perform design and simulation of nonvolatile memory IP products featuring analog and digital circuits, such as decoders, sense amplifiers, charge pumps, and voltage references. Particular emphasis will be on low power, low leakage designs in 0.18-micron and smaller CMOS technologies.

Supervise physical design and perform verification of circuits. Participate in other physical design and chip debug / characterization activities as needed.

Skills and Knowledge Required

In-depth knowledge of nonvolatile memory product (such as Flash or EEPROM) is required.

A thorough understanding of foundry device models, design rules, design verification procedures (DRC/LVS, etc.), is essential.

Knowledge of industry-standard design entry, simulation, and verification CAD tools from vendors such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics is required.

Education and Experience Required

BSEE (MSEE preferred) and at least 7 years' experience required in memory design (Flash, EEPROM or EPROM, or SRAM).

A proven track record of success in all phases of circuit design, from definition through transfer to production, yield improvement, and product qualification.

Excellent written and spoken English communications and interpersonal skills required.

Job Title:

Senior CAD/CAE Engineer, NVM IP Products

Job Description

Develop and support a digital, analog and mixed signal simulation environment and tool flow.

Provide CAD support for design tools such as Hercules, Hspice, Hsim, Verilog, Calibre, Smartspice.

Write scripts and software to improve CAE tools interaction and productivity.

Devolop and support technology files for parasitic extraction, DRC or LVS for different foundries.

Provide technical support/documentation for IP shipment.

Skills and Knowledge Required
