Design Engineer

CITY: Oshkosh STATE: Wisconsin COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Operate a CAD terminal to produce accurate layouts of parts and assemblies.
* Redesign or adapt parts or components.
* Make advanced design calculations.
* Use CAD Terminal to prepare layouts and details using engineering sketches or verbal instructions to ANSI standards.
* Capable of checking others' drawing work for accuracy and completeness.
* Provide technical guidance to lower level drafters.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Associates degree in Design or Drafting.
* Minimum of 5 years practical industrial machinery design experience.
* Green Belt Certified (GE employees only).
* Work independently with little supervision.
* Must be able to work from verbal instructions or rough sketches from Design Engineering.

Desired:
* Knowledgeable of accepted ANSI drafting standards and procedures.
* Working knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD.
* Working knowledge of 3D CAD packages
