Position Description:

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Create/manage integrated project plans, project schedules and
interdependencies among the different disciplines and other design sites.-
Manage/coordinate the efforts of the microprocessor organizations- Work with
other program management organizations to help optimize silicon to production
schedules- Manage resource requirements for microprocessor/IP projects


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS or MS and 10+ years experience desired

Qualifications:

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Provide leadership and planning for microprocessor design projects:- Drive
closure on project decisions, schedules and headcount plans- Coordinate
relationships with other support organizations (Product Engineering, Platform
Engineering, Marketing, Product Planning, Technology, FAB, etc.)- Drive closure
of feature definition/specification for the chip or IP block- Manage tape-out
plans in the face of competing product priorities, bug fixes, feature
additions, etc.- Represent the design organization in external planning
forumsLead cross-functional/cross-site initiatives to drive improvements in
various areas:- Project Management infrastructure: scheduling/tracking tools,
resource/headcount planning tools, etc.- Metrics for monitoring project
progress/convergence and measuring improvements in productivity- Time To Market
improvements across development programs
