Design Supervisor - Piping - Power

Fluor Power Group has a position available for a design supervisor who will be responsible for the overall cost effective layout and space allocation of gas fired combined cycle power generation facilities. Responsible for supervising piping layout, stress analysis, and hanger design. Performs and/or supervises the development of piping quantity estimates for proposals. Reviews supplier drawings for information relative to the design of facilities. Coordinates with other disciplines for overall cost and schedule effective design. Provides construction and commissioning support, including site visits as required.


20+ years experience required with
10+ years in power generation preferred with the following.
Prepares and administers schedules and engineering budgets.
- Prepares and administers procurement and fabrication packages.
- Acts as client interface for model reviews and space allocation.
- Responsible for 3D PDS model for project.
- Power plant layout and piping design
- Power plant mechanical equipment and systems
- Self-starter, highly motivated.
- Ability to plan, organize, and schedule assigned tasks.
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, management, and other team members.
- Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, AutoCAD, Microstation, and use of computers.
