Requirements:
Design and Sr. Design System Engineers

The Systems Integration Support Group in the Motion and Power Control Division is responsible for designing and developing a product line of integrated "power solutions" for next generation products. The "power solutions" include: engine, aftertreatment, cooling system, transmission, lower powertrain, hydraulics, electronics and control algorithms, integrating these components. The Power Solutions Product Team has Sr. Design and Design Engineering positions open to design these "integrated power solutions".

Sr. Design Engineer / Design Engineer responsible for the design and development of a "power solution" control systems that integrate compliant diesel engines with powertrain components (hydraulics, transmissions and electronics) to provide market leading customer value. Power solution platforms will be leveraged across several machine products.

Specific responsibilities include:

? Working with multiple machine groups to develop power solution specifications that meet or exceed the needs of the machine groups and drive power solution commonality across product line.
? Working with component product groups (transmissions, engines, hydraulics and electronics) to develop component specifications and systems interface definitions.
? Working to develop validated power solutions for next generation machine programs.
? Completing integrated systems design (component sizing, system specifications, control schemes, algorithms and calibration) using Matlab and Simulink development and analysis tools.
? Working with the Technology & Solution Div. to complete the calibration and validation of power solution platforms using system simulation & modeling, lab and machine test beds.

Teamwork, strong technical and analysis skills are essential to design and validate deeply integrated power solutions which achieve superior customer value.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor degree in engineering with a strong interest and demonstrated skills in systems engineering. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a team environment and complete systems integration designs on elements of the power solution product line using the NPI (New Production Introduction) process.

Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated systems engineering, communication and teaming skills. Organization and program management skills would be a plus along with powertrain system experience.

Project & Sr. Project Systems Engineers

The Power Solutions Product Team has Sr. Project and Project Engineering positions open to lead the development of "integrated power solutions".

Sr. Project Engineer / Project Engineer responsible for the design and development of a "power solution platform" that meets Tier 4 (2011 and 2014) diesel emission requirements and provides market leading customer value. Power solution platforms will be leveraged across several machine products.

Specific responsibilities include:

? Working with multiple machine groups to define power solution specifications.
? Working with component product groups (transmissions, engines, hydraulics and electronics) to develop component specifications and systems interface definitions.
? Completing integrated systems design (component sizing, system specifications, control schemes, algorithms and calibration) using Matlab and Simulink development and analysis tools.
? Directing validation of power solution platforms efforts: system simulation & modeling; lab and machine testbed programs.

Teamwork, technical knowledge, organizational and communications skills are key job characteristics for this position.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor degree in engineering with 5 plus years experience in design engineering or product development. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a team environment and lead development efforts to execute power system programs.

Desired Qualifications: Strong leadership, systems engineering, interpersonal, communication, organization, and program management skills combined with machine powertrain systems or powertrain component (engine, transmission, electronics, hydraulics) design, analysis and /or development experience.
