Sweco, a Business unit of M I, LLC, in Florence, Kentucky is currently seeking Designers.  SWECO is the world wide leader in the manufacturing of Process Equipment for the Industrial and Oilfield Markets.  With 10 plants located world wide, SWECO services all customers from all areas of the world.  Please submit salary requirements.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings and electronic images under the guidance of design engineers and Design Supervior.  Create and modify BOM?s, part numbers and inventory master utilizing established Sweco standards.  Work with sales department and plant personnel to ensure customer requirements are met.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Design parts, units and systems based on written and verbal descriptions from design engineers and sales.

2.Read, interpret and use design customer supplied documentation, sketches and existing drawings.

3.Calculate tolerances, verify design fit-up, incorporate general engineering principles to ensure a quality design.

4.Utilize BPCS to create BOM?s and parts maintaining Sweco numbering systems and standards.

5.Develop expertise in all Sweco product lines.

6.Capable of self-checking accuracy of work.

7.Support training of designers and drafters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Proficiency in Solid Edge, BPCS, and Microsoft Office software.

2.Able to work with minimum supervision, self-starter and detailed-oriented.

3.Knowledge of drafting and engineering standards.  Strong mechanical aptitude.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Degree from a recognized CAD training facility and 2 years Solid Edge experience, or 4 to 6 years experience in Solid Edge systems.
