Developer Software Engineer

Smarthome) in Irvine, California (www.smarthome.com ).  SmartLabs has an immediate opening for a Developer Support Engineer who will assist both internal and external hardware and software developers.

 

A successful candidate will:Be detail oriented and have excellent troubleshooting skills. Have coding experience, in any object-oriented language. Familiarity with Delphi is a plus.Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English. Be very self-motivated and work well with or without supervision. Have home automation experience (such as INSTEON or X10).

 

Job Duties will include:Managing and interacting in an online development forum, including answering technical development questions related to both hardware and software. Creating sample code and posting forum answers in a variety of code languages such as Visual Basic.NET, C++, C#, Delphi, Java, and Assembly.Write software development kit documentation. Working closely with SmartLabs engineers to develop quality assurance standards, then track performance against those standards.Developing and implementing test plans, including simple code and scripts to automate testing.
