Device Modeling Engineer

Description:

Senior Modeling Engineer who will  support design groups for spice models, characterization, development of PDK (including active participation with various foundries for the development and improvement of CMOS, BiCMOS)  and bipolar technologies.

 

Responsibilities: Interface between design groups and wafer fabs to ensure 100% device correlation between PCM and new product designs.Support business units by providing complete information on fab processes, CMOS/BiPolar device models, and design rules and related disciplines.Develop and characterize test chips for new technologies.Support business units and quality group on tactical fab process issues, e.g integration, development and optimization of new processes and to improve product yield.Be able to support and maintain the technology development file for CAD tools used by the Business Units such as Silvaco, Cadence and Mentor Graphic platform design kits.Help business units to track CAD issues and address problems and needs.

 

Qualifications:BSEE or related field - MS or PhD preferred.Minimum 8 years direct experience with device design, characterization, modeling and process integration.Good understanding of device physics, device measurement, and familiarity with characterization systems.Basic understanding of CAD tools such as SPICE, Parasitic Extraction, and design rule development is a strong plus.Knowledge of CMOS and bipolar device model generation using IC-Cap and Utmost is essential.Good communication with foundry engineering team, IC designers and CAD engineers.Detailed understanding of silicon processing and wafer fab manufacturing, process control and quality assurance techniques.Must be able to work with product development teams, quality and reliability organization, and wafer fab process integration engineering.
