Digital Communications/Telemetry System Engineer

Microsoft-Vexcel Corporation is seeking a senior level engineer with Digital Communications/Telemetry System design, implementation, and test experience. Some experience with digital signal processing/analysis desired.


Candidates Requirements Include: a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, 5+ years of experience with: [1] high speed, wide-band digital satellite telemetry downlink systems, [2] an established track record of real-time high bandwidth digital communications system requirements definition, specification, design, implementation, and test experience, [3] significant experience in the design, implementation, and testing of FPGA state-machine and signal processing solutions, [4] a clear understanding of software and firmware development, implementation, test, and practices, [5] demonstration of excellent communications skills, [6] a working knowledge of computer programming in C, C++, and assembly language, and [7] experience leading a small team of 2-4 engineers. US Citizenship is a must.  The ideal candidate would have an advanced degree (MS) or equivalent experience.
