Digital VHDL ASIC/FPGA Designer

Description:

*  Serves as a technical specialist in solving complex development problems and/or implementing special design engineering projects in the digital/ASIC/FPGA area.

*  Perform digital ASIC and FPGA design, development and test on space and communications programs.

*  Review technical content of designs while ensuring team members adhere to the Integrated Product Development (IPD) design process and department standards.

*  Will help implement ASIC design process changes required to be successful with deep sub-micron geometries.

 

Education/Experience:

*  4 years electronics engineering experience including experience with digital gate arrays, FPGAs and programmable logic devices required.

*  Prior experience with communication and space applications, static timing analysis, behavioral VHDL modeling, digital signal processing, built-in-test software development, and leveraging system algorithm modeling results to compose VHDL test benches is highly desirable.
