Calypso Medical is seeking a Director of Localization Technology to manage the development of signal processing algorithms; compatibility testing; the execution of research laboratory measurements; the creation of mathematical models underlying physics; and simulations coding for magnetic localization.  This individual will provide cross-functional support to R&D and other engineering groups including quality assurance and design verification and test as well as develop error budgets for Calypso platforms and applications. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

?  Functional management of the localization technology group including signal processing, systems and measurements.

?  Work with the program managers as required to integrate deliverables with other groups in support of corporate goals.

?  Define the appropriate analysis, modeling and simulation tools to support the development goals of the group.

?  Define the fixtures, tools, instrumentation and procedures to characterize components and subsystems of Calypso?s magnetic localization technology.

?  Transfer algorithms to the software team for coding.

?  Support cross-functional activities, particularly verification and validation as required.

 Minimum Qualifications:

?  MS or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, or applied mathematics

?  Minimum 10 years experience in the development of complex systems involving sophisticated real-time signal processing

?  Proven program management process capabilities

?  Proven management capability in a high technology product development environment-ideally projects that have technical risk (5 years preferred).
