We are currently seeking a Director, Engineering Test.
The Director, Engineering Test will be responsible for integration and test of software and hardware during the development process as well as for development of production level manufacturing tests. They will serve as the release gate within the Engineering group for all elements of the RFN Product suite.
As our business expands, the Director, Engineering Test will evolve the test group to maintain a ?state of the art? test development and system integration and test capability. This will include implementation of comprehensive and efficient test methodologies and processes, development and adherence to test requirements and procedures, continued development of test automation tools, providing effective feedback to the development groups, creation of thorough and efficient manufacturing tests, and incorporation of feedback from manufacturing and field engineering in to test methods, procedures, and fixtures.
The Director, Engineering Test will be responsible for working with senior management to determine new product introduction timelines. They will be responsible for a growing team of Technical Managers, Engineers and Technicians. This will include providing management policies to motivate and grow a superior team. Operating budget will be considered in all aspects o group functioning. Product cost and manufacturability will be constant considerations in the development of RadioFrame Networks? test solutions.
RadioFrame Networks? Director, Engineering will participate in the definition and development of all levels of wireless products being developed by the company. This includes current offerings in production and development such as iDEN, GSM, UMTS, and CDMA. Creative, novel and innovative approaches to engineering management, test development, team dynamics, and test methodologies should be cultivated, encouraged, and implemented.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Director, Engineering Test should have a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in system integration, test, technical management, cost management, manufacturing test development, customer interaction, field installation, production, and complete system delivery. This should include experience in the test of multiple voice and data wireless protocols. Examples of such technologies are 802.11, Bluetooth, IS-136, GSM, CDMA, Third Generation Technologies, and Fixed Wireless Protocols. As well, the Director, Engineering Test should have an understanding of manufacturing processes and the requirements for developing high volume manufacturing test fixtures for functional and system test. An understanding of manufacturing qualification and certification processes for quality volume production is also required.
A proven history in operational management of growing engineering teams, management to budget, and disciplined adherence to test schedules is required. The Director, Engineering Test should have demonstrated success in innovation in the engineering environment. A BSEE/MSEE degree is desired.
