Job Title:

Document Control Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Document Control Coordinator is responsible for creating, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of QA databases and all affected procedures, work instructions, and documentation to quality standards. Supports site documentation system which includes incorporating changes, document revision, review/approval, distribution, notification of changes, and proper archival and record retention. Controls and coordinates the implementation of formal release and revision of appropriate documentation.  Ensures that data entry, file maintenance and storage, and document reproduction and distribution meets company standards.  Updates existing or implements new procedures in continuous process improvement efforts.  Prepares and maintains records and reports on change order activities.  Maintains logs and files for all facets of Document Control.  Inputs and implements changes to bills of materials.  Initiates obsolete part number reviews.  Requires interaction with many functions in the organization.

 

The Document Control Coordinator will

 

?  Enter data on MRP System (BOM?s, part number maintenance, change orders).

?  Evaluate and maintain database (obsolete part number, reviews, associated change orders, MRP input).

?  Maintain logs and reports (part numbers, change order, distribution).

?  Drive continuous improvement activities related to the Document Control process.

?  Review incoming change order requests for accuracy and completeness. Assure compliance to ISO 9001 standard. Resolve discrepancies and errors with originator.

?  Responsible for part configuration management and change control.

?  Issue corrective and preventive actions for resolution of non-conformances, customer complaints, audit results, etc. and maintains database.

?  Provide trending and metrics of quality management system for Management Review.

Requirements:



?  High school diploma or equivalent plus 1-3 years of Document Control experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

?  Prior experience with MRP systems, Product Data Management (PDM) (Agile Software preferred), Configuration Management, and Change Control.

?  Experience with technical writing and general business knowledge preferred.

?  Previous experience with SAP (Quality Module, specifically) and Agile preferred.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge



?  Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2000, QS 9000, or equivalent quality assurance regulations.

?  Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint specifically) and Outlook

?  Ability to multi-task and execute with little direction

?  Sense of urgency

?  Strong attention to detail and organization skills

?  Must be results-oriented
