Drafting-Technical Documentation

Truck Suspension Manufacturer in McKinney seeking a unique aggressive multitasking?individual with ability to do light drafting, revision duties, and ability to do Technical Documentation/Illustration.? This includes working in a small engineering department with positive?group environment.

Education:? Associates or equivalent

?

Experience: 2 years minimum preferred

?

Minimal Skills:

3D Cad preferably Solidworks?or?2D autocad skills considered

Understanding of drawings and Bill of Materials

Very good English reading, writing, and speaking as communication is a key requirement?to this job.

Ability to effectively communicate with various office and?shop departments

MS Office

?

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge of Pagemaker, Framemaker, Quark, or MS Publisher.

Graphics skills and ability to use digital cameras and/or 3D software to make illustrations

Knowledge of creating installation and service manuals

Familiarity with Weldments and sheetmetal

Familiarity with MRP/ERP software

MS Frontpage or other HTML / Webpage skills

MS Project to organize own projects

Job Duties:

Revisions:Part, Subassembly, and Assembly Drawings Bill of Materials Reverse Engineering purchased parts for in house reference drawings / illustrations

Technical Documentation including:Exploding assemblies to create exploded views and parts listApply?Technical Illustrations and Technical Documentation?to installation and maintenance manuals.Work with vendor to get manuals printed.Writing or organizing?procedures.

Non Exempt Salary with 45 hour work weeks typically M-F with occasional Saturdays.
