Manpower Professional is looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Co-Op. Candidate may have already graduated and have work experience in the field. Salary depends on amount of experience. The person in this role may perform the following types of activities: Develop, implement and audit safety programs. These programs may include lockout/tagout, hazard communication, and others. Develop safety training programs on various topics such as hazard communication, slips/trips/falls, and lockout/tagout. Perform accident investigations; act as liaison between associate, management, human resources, and the worker's compensation insurer. Conduct root cause analysis for repeated workplace accidents/injuries. Create ongoing training plan for the Hospitality and Real Estate Division. This is to include curriculum creation, materials and presentations, and training for new associate orientation programs. Perform routine safety inspections, gather Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and compile information into a computer database and shop binders. Create a formal safety inspection checklist and process to be used by future EHS co-op incumbents. Attend monthly safety meetings, handle worker's compensation case management with the Medical Department.
