To help us continue driving their busines forward, out client is in search of an expereince, top tier EMI Engineer to join their team


We are looking for an experienced EMI Engineer with knowledge of the Test Industry to join a Boston area lab.

POSITION SUMMARY:
You will be working with clients in a test lab environment in the qualification of products for the military, commercial, aerospace and telecommunications markets. The EMI/EMC Engineer utilizes skills in electronics, software, or mechanics, under general supervision to provide designs, documentation and testing for new and existing products.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Status Required.

* BS Degree in an engineering discipline.

* 2 plus years performing EMI testing to military or commercial specifications

* 1 to 3 years practical experience in one or more of the following test specifications: EMI testing to MIL-STD-461/462, Telcordia, FCC, RTCA-DO-160, CE Mark, GR-1089-CORE or similar specs.

* Experience with EMI test set ups, equipment, antennas and other related gear.

* Experience troubleshooting items under test.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

* Good computer skills with the ability to prepare reports using MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

* Independent self-starter with the ability to represent the company as a diplomatic people oriented team player.

* Theoretical background in electromagnetic compatibility testing.

 

* Good mathematical skills.

* Ability to lift and carry test equipment and test articles to 40 lbs.

* A strong commitment to team projects and customer deadlines is required.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Must be detail oriented and have a proven ability to organize, analyze, set priorities, and multi task in a fast paced environment.

* Demonstrated success in working in a team environment supporting operations, sales and quality.
