ENG TECH II

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Primary responsibility for technical support of engineering activities such as maintenance of test setups, troubleshooting of products and maintenance of fixtures. Secondary responsibility for supporting operational excellence activities in the plant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Build electronic, electromechanical and pneumatic circuits from schematics and drawings.
2. Troubleshoot medical devices.
3. Build and maintain test setups and fixtures.
4. Interpret and modify schematics and drawings.
5. Perform tests to verify and validate medical devices and processes.
6. Monitor production area temperature and humidity to ensure that both are within FDA specifications.
7. Maintenance and update of equipment database.
8. Responsible for equipment validations per engineering test requests.
9. Prepare change orders.

Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education required/ preferred: AS degree or equivalent related experience.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience with electronic and electromechanical equipment in an FDA-regulated environment.
Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, gauges, DMMs etc.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Experience with medical devices used for respiratory care preferred.
Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma
Skills/Competencies: Good oral/written communication skills.
PC literate with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Other Skills: Ability to travel occasionally.
