ENGINEER I (DESIGN) 146A1-20, 21, 22

This position is responsible for assisting in the product design process.  Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and documenting design solutions for complex engineering problems.  These problems can be mechanical, structural, electrical, and hydraulic in nature.  Specific areas of focus include machined parts, plasma/laser cut parts, formings, weldments, injection molded parts, electrical control systems, and hydraulic lift/drive systems.  Parts are designed and documented by creating models, assemblies, and drawings in Solidworks.  Analysis is performed using traditional methods in conjunction with dynamic and finite element analysis software.  Bills of Material are created using Excel and AS400.  Purchased parts are researched, specified, quoted, and tested by working with the Materials group and suppliers.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

? B.S. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering & 4 yrs design experience

? Excellent PC skills, incl. Excel and Word

? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

? Teamplayer qualities and the ability to motivate and to train others

? Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures

? Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement

? Commitment to Lean Manufacturing

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

? Proficient with AutoCAD and Solidworks/ Structural Analysis incl. FEA

? Hydraulic/electrical and microprocessor based control systems exp.

? Systems exp. incl. overall controls as well as component details
