ENGINEERING AID III/ANTELOPE VALLEY

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two years' experience as an Engineering Aid II -OR- completion of two years in an accredited college with specialization in engineering, geographic information systems (GIS)/cartography, geography, or a physical science. Eighteen months of office civil engineering experience including drafting may be substituted for each year of the required education.

Applicants who expect to qualify through the completion of two years (60 semester units or 90 quarter units) in an accredited college with specialization in engineering or a physical science MUST attach copies of transcripts showing proof of the required degree/units to the application at the time of filing.  Applications submitted without required proof will be rejected as incomplete.

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
? Completion of one or more courses or experience in the use of a recognized major computer-aided design software system such as Micro Station.
? Experience in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
? Experience in interpreting legal land descriptions.
? Experience in the use of Microsoft Office or similar computer office applications.


BENEFITS INCLUDE: Paid Sick Benefits, Retirement Plans, Paid Vacation & Holiday, and Health & Dental Plans. Forty-hour, four day (4/40) work week is standard for most assignments. Other assignments may be 9/80 or 5/40 schedules.
