Job Description

- Responsibilities
Lead a small group of electrical engineers in image reconstruction system project.
Whole life cycle development of low-cost, high performance, serviceable PC computing platform, used for image reconstruction. Development includes planning, designing, implementing and directing subcontracted vendors to meet system requirements provided by system architect.
Vendor management
Integration of in-house hardware and software with OTS products
Support project management activities
Coordinate the activities associated with multiple, concurrent development teams
Generate appropriate documentation

Requirements

Skill Set
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
7 yrs experience managing 3rd Party Vendors
5 yrs experience working in a multi-discipline environment
3 yrs experience integrating in-house hardware with OTS computers
Very knowledgeable and experienced in designing PC Servers, especially thermal / packaging issues
Very good knowledge of PC technology and commodity PC market, including RAID, packaging, motherboards, graphic boards
Ability to direct continual HW quality improvement based on root-cause analyses
Ability to specify design solutions, which are derived from higher level product requirements
Working knowledge of configuration/change management processes and procedures
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements that related to PCs
Experience planning NPI development projects from conceptualization through release
Experience in working to system requirements
Product development experience (understand importance of serviceability, obsolesce planning and transition, large installed base, etc)
Good communication skills
