Electrical Designer/Engineer

Summary:

Electrical Designer for production of construction drawings in a fast paced and demanding environment.  Also looking for Engineers for project oversight role.

 

Responsibilities:Design for electrical systems ranging from simple to complex.  Types of design can include power, lighting, distribution systems, engine generators, heat trace, and general equipment installation designs.  Related system design experience is also helpful, including Life Safety Systems, Security, Instrumentation and Controls. Short circuit analysis and review of power quality and reliability. Coordination with design team members, both in electrical and other disciplines. Attendence at client design review meetings for presentation to customer. Technical writing for specifications, sequence of operations, testing documents and reports

 

Requirements:Thorough understanding of basic NEC requirements, including electrical clearances, circuit sizing, derating, motor circuit design, transformer feeder design and separation of class 1/2/3 wiring.  Good communicator and team player.  Ability to both lead and follow.  Highly organized. A general sense of responsibility and follow through.  Dedication and commitment, including punctuality and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, including working extra hours when needed. Interest in professional growth. Ability to learn quickly and grasp new concepts, especially as they relate to engineering and construction. AutoCAD 2002 experience preferred  Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook Experience and/or familiarity with semi-conductor construction fabrication facilities is a plus.
