To ensure the electrical products component of the overall product line is at the highest level of the state-of-the-art and is making a significant contribution to the overall revenues and profits of the company.

 

Job Description:

The EET Product Manager must ensure that the electrical products component of the company?s overall product line is at the highest level of success.  Along with strategic planning, new product development, existing product management, and marketing communications support, the manager must also act as the liaison between the engineering department and the market.  The EET Product Manager will practice guidance and expertise to strategize the product offerings and market positioning to be consistent with corporate goals.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

?  Strategic Planning:  Will be working with Director of Marketing, and Sales Directors to help develop product line strategies for both new and existing products.  This involves assisting in the development of product marketing plans, launches, technical documentation, demonstrations, and sales programs, with special attention to the management of overall positioning and pricing for the category.

?  New Product Development:  This action requires working within an established process to bring new products to market on time and ensuring it?s within the budget and profit goals.  The EET Product Manager must act as the product manager for all EET products, provide sourcing expertise and recommendations to the Operations and Engineering Departments as required, establish new product pricing and initial forecast, and ensure success of new products.

?  Existing Product Profitability and Lifecycle Management:  The primary responsibility is to manage the category including forecasting, price adjusting and discontinuing plans.

?  Marcom Support:  EET Product Manager must provide comprehensive product information for all aspects of launches, including training, collateral, PR and sales programs.

?  Benefits/Features:  This responsibility involves working with the engineering department to write and publish technical white papers.

?  Training Support:  The inside Customer Support personnel will be provided with training and outside training materials.

?  Management:  Management requires the development and management of a support team as appropriate based on overall success of the category.

 

Education/Knowledge Requirements:

?  Ideally ? Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and an MBA (Marketing) or Equivalent

?  Prior B2B Product Management Experience

?  New Product Process ? SMP-xxx

?  Custom Process

Special Requirements:

There will be some travel required to both trade shows and customer sites, domestically and internationally.
