The Electrical Engineer position plans and supports installation of all process equipment for future modifications and overhauls, including the management of schedules and projects costs. Track equipment, downtime, trouble history and preventative/plan improvement activity. Track equipment performance and engineering costs. Must control equipment drawings, department specs for equipment and spare parts. Support all department functions with technical understanding and know-how. Respond to daily equipment trouble and assist in troubleshooting, evaluation and trouble reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote environmental and safety culture throughout the plant
-Act as a change agent for the electrical department
-Provide support on National Electric Code to electrical department
-Provide electrical technical expertise to challenging issues for a 24/7 plastics compounding operation which includes, but is not limited to the following:
-a/c and d/c drives and motors up to 1500 hp
-transformers
-high voltage power systems
-PLC control systems/alarms
-OSI Pi systems
-Assist the electricians in technical development activities and training
-Assess the electrical status of the plant and develop plans to ensure that the infrastructure meets demands of the business unit on a continual basis
-Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for reoccurring electrical/control issues
-Develop electrical installation specifications/guidelines for the plant and ensure that electricians and contractors understand and abide by them
-Develop solid solutions to electrical challenges that will reduce production downtime.
-Assist with other maintenance troubleshooting as needed
-Develop complete single-line diagrams for plant and keep control of all electrical drawings/schematics and update when changes occur.

Education:
-Bachelor's Degree or equivlent
-Three to Five Years experience
