Required Skills:

? Ability to apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to analyze and solve electro-mechanical and electronic design problems
? Ability to lead cross-functional teams
? Able to develop design specifications based on marketing input and requirements from appropriate electrical codes (NEC,UL and NEMA) and standards
? Proficient using AutoCAD to generate electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
? Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
? Able to work both independently and as part of a team
? Able to track schedule and deliverables for multiple projects
? Experience developing new electro-mechanical or electronic products/systems following a stage-gate or toll gate product development process
? Knowledge of electrical controls, industrial control components (VFD?s, soft starts, contactors, overload relays, etc.) and electrical equipment

Education - BSEE degree from accredited university is required.

Working knowledge of any of the following is not required but would be a plus:

? Control power transformers ratings/impedances
? Thermal design aspects of electronic products.
? Experience with sheet metal design.
? Manufacturing methods and processes.

The successful candidate will lead and work on cross-functional teams responsible for the electrical design/development of industrial control equipment to support Siemens Energy and Automation?s Motor Control Center and Enclosed Controls businesses. These teams will take small and large projects from initial definition; through design, development and testing; to manufacturing implementation/control following a structured stage-gate development process. Typical projects will involve the integration of electrical and electro-mechanical control components (contactors, VFD?s, overload relays, circuit breakers, etc.) into structures containing fabricated copper bus. The successful candidate will ensure that engineering projects meet specifications, target costs, are on schedule, and compliant with engineering policies and standards.
