Electrical Engineer - Water Treatment Equipment

We are a large company servicing the Water Industry with offices across the US and abroad. Our Water Treatment Division, located in Fontana, California, has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer with the qualifications described below:

General

We are looking for an experienced professional with a solid background in the design and engineering of control systems for filtration and separation equipment. This position requires a person with the ability to focus on every aspect of the electrical design disciplines that are a part of our process equipment.

Responsibilities

? Lead designers in the generation of engineering drawings of electrical schematics and line diagrams, control panel layouts, and site electrical plans

? Review designs and documentation for conformance to industry codes, customer specifications, and company standards

? Program PLCs and HMIs from scratch as well as from existing library

? Design Motor Control Centers and other AC power circuits

? Understand each specific Water Treatment Process and design a complete and appropriate control system that utilizes analog and digital instrumentation

? Communicate control philosophy via written documentation such as control system narratives and operation manuals

? Troubleshoot control systems in the field during plant commissioning/startup

Prerequisite Qualifications

? Hold an Engineering degree or equivalent

? Have experience in the Water/Wastewater Treatment industry

? Have solid understanding of codes common to our industry including:
? NEC
? ISA
? AWWA

? Possess solid background with the following computer software programs:
Microsoft Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook, AutoCAD 2004 or higher, Allen Bradley RSLogix, DirectSoft

Preferred Qualifications

? Have thorough understanding of the electrical/control system design elements of equipment used in the following industrial separations processes:
Media filtration, Ion Exchange/Softening, Adsorption

? Possess extensive experience engineering skid-mounted water treatment process equipment

These Qualifications are a Plus

? Hold a Professional Engineer certification
