Electrical Engineering Designer
Job Description: Performs layout and design work from the basic data supplied.
Applies advanced level techniques in computer design and standard design applications.
Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
Skills are typically acquired through a minimum of 7 years related experience or an undergraduate degree and 5 years.
This is the senior level, non-supervisory design position.
This is the highest level of non-supervisory design work and includes senior level Designers.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
Familiarity with all aspects of the design of electrical systems for petrochemical
facilities including:
Grounding
Cable tray
Communications
Electric heat tracing
Cathodic protection
Underground cable installation and packaged equipment
Proficiency using CAD software, including 3D PDS, Microstation, AutoCad and PDMS Draft.
