Electrical Engineering Intern REQ# 7834-35

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:  Assist in the development of hardware modules for use in a communication datalink system and other contracts as required.  The job includes assistance in creating design requirements to board testing and integration. Tasks may include requirement mapping, component searches, block diagram development, schematic capture, parts list development, VHDL design and simulation for FPGA and printed circuit board testing. The role requires close liaison with the project engineering team.

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  Candidate shall have or will be working towards an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline and have preferably completed the third year of college.  Candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills to include the use of typical office automation products such as word processors and spread sheets and problem solving skills. Previous experience in hardware development is a plus. Knowledge of ModelSim, Leonardo Spectrum, Mentor Graphics, Xilinx, PCAD, PSPICE, ADS, laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meters, and logic analyzers) is preferred.
