Electrical/Instrument Reliability Engineer-Petrochemicals

I am an Executive Recruiter with Career Search International. I am currently on contract in an executive search for an Electrical/Instrument Reliability Engineer.

 

Job Responsibilities: Provide electrical and instrumentation technical and project support working through the maintenance department.  Develop preventive maintenance procedures and drive reliability improvements in the power distribution systems and process instrumentation for the complex. 

 

 Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Inspect repair work in progress at outside repair facilities.  Provide technical assistance for the instrument-electrical needs of the complex.  Generate new electrical maintenance standards and update existing ones.  Develop and lead the plant wide electrical predictive and preventive maintenance programs.  Work with outside contractors and/or engineers in the inspection and problem solving of the plant electrical systems.  Generate electrical maintenance procedures.  Organize and direct an instrument-electrical training program.  Institute training procedures and inspections that will bring my client into compliance with OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910, NFPA 70E, as well as other applicable standards.  Conduct plant wide electrical safety audits.  Review stores stock for addition/deletion of instrument and electrical equipment.  Investigate state of the art technology to assure that the maintenance efforts utilize the best available technology. 

Education:   B.S. in Electrical Engineering

 

Qualifications:  Entry level to 5 years engineering experience

 

Skills:     Good organizational and communications skills, good verbal and written skills; good computer skills, with working knowledge of standard software and databases; ability to make sound decisions.

 

Mandatory to have Petrochemicals experience.
