Electrical Project Engineer

We are creating the North American leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of heavy duty transit buses for use in the municipal and private sectors. As a closely held, private company, Millennium Transit is committed to the heavy- duty transit industry for the long term.  This position will be part of a projects team which will continuously look at innovations for our products.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

?  The electrical design components of prototype buses from concept to final testing and turnover to production engineering.

?  Upon completion of prototype design, collaborates with production engineering, liaison engineering, vendor relations and production to ensure details of design are properly communicated and executed throughout the organization.

?  Oversees the transfer from models to engineering drawings, installation drawings, bill of materials and other in-house processes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS:

?  BSEE or equivalent with at least 5 years experience with I/O Controls multiplex systems

?  Low and high current module programming and ladder logic skills

?  Skilled in J1939 and J1587 communication systems

?  Adept at reading and interpreting electrical and schematic prints.

?  Significant experience with Solid Works or a very closely related software
