Electrical Project Engineer - contract-to-hire (431A-3443406)

Our client has an immediate opening for an Electrical Project Engineer. This individual must specialize in hydraulic system design and instrumentation as well as project management.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate. Position is in the Carmel NY area.


Description:

This position will provide electrical/mechanical support to the Sr. Project Engineer on various projects from inception through start-up.

-Review test procedures for assigned components
-Construct parameter matrix to design hydraulic circuits and determine instrumentation required.
-Physical layout of equipment and tooling required to test each component.
-Project management responsibilities include overseeing the entire project from inception through completion with specific attention to deadlines, reports directly to company owner.
-Guides the team on technical issues surrounding the set-up and final testing of components and demonstrations for the customer.
-Responsible for the documentation and maintenance of engineering records for future re-makes of components.


Requirements:

-technical expertise
-strong communication and sense of teamwork

-4 Year degree in Electrical Engineering preferred plus 3-5 years experience in electrical engineering/project management.

- AutoCAD a plus
- MS Office skills a must
