MeadWestvaco Packaging Systems LLC, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading global supplier of high-performance multiple packaging systems and cartons for beverage, dairy, processed food and personal care products.  An industry innovator in carton design and packaging systems, the company operates two design and engineering centers and 12 converting facilities, located strategically near its major markets in The Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe.  With over 1,300 installations worldwide, MeadWestvaco Packaging Systems provides value-added support to large and small brewers, soft drink bottlers, dairy and food processors and other consumer products companies.

 

Due to an internal promotion, we are currently looking to add a senior level Electrical Support Engineer to our team in Smyrna, GA.

 

Job Summary

- Provide the design, minor development, and field support for machine control systems, data collection, and data analysis.
- Perform the evaluation of hardware and software tools
- Provide machine testing and field support

 

Essential Job Functions:

- Responsible for remote filed support and customer service to clients
- Accurate and complete documentation for the above
- Successful completion of machine testing
- Occasional travel to customer sites (25 to 30%)

 

Job Requirements:

- 4 Year Electrical Engineering Degree
- Proficiency of Allen-Bradley PLC?s is a must and Servo Systems experience is preferred
- Ability to provide minor development when necessary
- 5 years experience as a Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment

- Strong customer service background

- HMI experience is a plus

- Strong Hardware knowledge is preferred
- Communication skills and time management skills
