Electrical Systems Engineer

Job Description:
Maintain power plant electrical switchgear and distribution system. Supervise routine preventive and corrective maintenance, develop/revise procedures for operations and maintenance. Troubleshoot, develop corrective maintenance plans and supervise plan execution. Develop/revise maintenance plans for electrical equipment. Develop/revise training plans for electrical operators and maintainers. Serve as electrical systems inspector for multiple power plants.

Specific Skills Required: Experience in the maintenance and operation of marine or power plant electrical switchgear, distribution systems and equipment, including recovery from system or equipment failure. Experience in training electrical operators and maintainers, and supervising electrical operators and maintainers. Extensive experience in quality control and quality assurance.

Desired Skills Required: Qualification as Senior Electrical Operator while in Navy, active duty. Specialized experience in the use and maintenance of electrical maintenance documentation, Windows PC and Microsoft Office software user.

Occasional presence in commercial nuclear power plant spaces may be required.

Physical ability to work in power plant spaces, climb ladders, inspect hard to reach areas.

Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 20 years of related experience.

Must be a U.S. citizen and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Confidential security clearance.
