Electronic Design Engineer

Our client, a world leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of lighting equipment, seeks experienced Electronic Design Engineer for their Emergency Lighting products division located near the historic ocean front community of Wilmington NC.

Responsibilities will include all activities associated with the design, testing, and manufacturing of electronic components, products, and systems as they directly relate to commercial, industrial, and architectural Emergency Lighting markets. The position will work closely with other engineers in the development process as well as outside vendors to procure and specify material.

Candidates should possess a BSEE and experience in the following areas:

 

?  Proficient in analyzing power requirements in existing and future fluorescent lamp technology

?  Design DC to AC power conversions circuits to operate applicable fluorescent lamps

?  Select battery technology suitable for environmental and electrical application demands

?  Design and construct appropriate charging circuitry for the same

?  A proven track record in design and development of electronic printed circuit board assemblies

?  High frequency inverter design

?  Power conversion circuit design

?  Fluorescent lighting operation fundamentals

?  Battery charging circuit design

?  Battery capacity calculations as well as application selection

?  Switching power supply design experience

?  Regulatory agency approval process

?  TTL logic and microprocessor design experience
