Position Summary

Electronic Design Engineer for Aerospace (LVDT/RVDT) Sensors is responsible for design and development of circuits and electronic interfaces used in Kavlico's rotary and linear position transducers. These sensors are used for position feedback in commercial and military aircraft systems for applications that include: flight control actuators, valves, nose wheel steering systems, cockpit controls, fuel controls, fly-by-wire systems, brake-by-wire systems and thrust reversers.

Duties and Responsibilities

1) Perform a wide variety of electrical engineering assignments at an intermediate level of complexity.
2) Detailed electrical design, development and testing of rotary and linear position transducer in accordance with Kavlico's standards.
3) Responsible for electrical design portion of all test equipment required for acceptance and environmental qualification testing of new position transducer products.
4) Creation of test procedures and test reports in accordance with the customer specification.


Qualifications

1) Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
2) Two years of experience as an electrical design or test engineer.
3) Strong electro-magnetic and mathematical background.
4) Experience in circuit design, simulation and PCB fabrication.
5) Familiar with schematic capture and Pspice simuation with ORCAD tools.
6) Hands-on experience with electronics and electrical test equipment.
7) Hands-on experience with design and development of electronics.
8) U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.
