Electronic Design Manager

Job Responsibilities Develop, implement and manage a strong, aggressive design department to exceed goals set by district budgets and forecast.
Work closely with Sales Reps, Architects, Operations and Service Depts ensure timely, accurate and efficient project turnaround time.
Manage design department in commercial and special hazard systems to meet N.F.P.A and local codes. 
Coordinate design, approval, fabrication and delivery schedules.
Maintain and increase department knowledge, skills and design through training, code review and team development. 

 

Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of the fire alarm industry a must.  Knowledge of security, CCTV, Access Systems preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in the use of computers/software and AutoCad.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Successful individuals will have the ability to build and maintain a strong design department with attention to detail and high energy levels.
Ability to develop and execute a sound business plan for our Design department.
Conduct job site surveys, order project materials

 

Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years experience in the fire alarm industry.
Bachelor's Degree required - Electrical Engineering preferred.  Related studies in Business Administration helpful.
Management or equivalent experience.
N.I.C.E.T. Level III or Higher a must.
