MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate must possess a BS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field and possess the following: a strong work ethic, reasoning and problem-resolution skills, and the ability to work well without direct supervision.  Proficiency in written and spoken English as well as strong interpersonal communications skills is also required.  Candidate should be well-versed in reading and understanding electronic schematics.  Prior experience with PC board electronic testing and troubleshooting to the component level is necessary.  Candidate must be skilled with the use of electronic test equipment and electronic tools (i.e. DMM, oscilloscopes, analyzers, soldering repair stations, etc.).  Prior computer network experience is also preferred.  Must have supervisory experience and skills to oversee and direct 5-7 employees, as this is a working supervisory position.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

? Initial testing and qualification of newly fabricated PC boards.  Keep detailed documentation and records on each PC board throughout this process for quality and tracking purposes.  Troubleshoot and repair boards at this stage that will not pass a minimum set of test requirements.Testing newly qualified PC boards in a controlled environmental chamber while testing the dynamic functionality of the board.  Carefully document and report the board?s performance during testing.  Troubleshoot and repair any boards not passing a minimum set of standards for this test.Test and/or troubleshoot PC boards returned from the field, documenting the cause of failure and passing this information on to Engineering for review.Supervise lab technicians including oversight of training, work assignments, scheduling, quality, inventory, and production of electronic components and battery pack assemblies.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

 

Reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.

IntelliServ and Grant Prideco, L.P. enforce a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe working environment.  Each incumbent is responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling all safety-specific responsibilities.

 

This position requires the incumbent to be responsible for his/her own safety by adhering to all written and verbal instructions, performing daily inspections of the functional work area, and promptly responding to and correcting all identified hazards or unsafe conditions, bringing nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards to the attention of senior management, Safety and/or Training, and continuously enhancing employee involvement in safety rules and policies.  Incumbent will also be responsible for utilizing written guidelines for training each employee in on-the-job safety.  A copy of such outline will be signed by the employee and forwarded to Training for inclusion in the employee?s training record.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position will be based in Provo, Utah.
