Hand Held Products is a Global Leader in the design and manufacture of rugged mobile computers. As Embedded Software Engineer, you will be a member the new product development team, designing the next generation of mobile computers; incorporating telephony (Voice and Data over GSM / GPRS / EDGE, and CDMA), wireless networking technology (802.11 a/b/g), Bluetooth, and GPS into rugged Windows Mobile based platforms.

Working within a collaborative and matrix drive culture, your responsibilities will include designing and building Microsoft? Windows CE and Windows Mobile based mobile computing platforms. Your duties will include device driver development, testing, documentation, and system integration.

You must have 3+ years of commercial embedded software development experience with C / C++ and Assembly language. Your experience should include driver development and driver debugging in a real-time multitasking operating system environment, and you should be familiar with advanced system level software design.

Ideally, you have experience with RISC machines, Microsoft Windows CE OS (BSP), and Windows NT device driver development; experience with software development for hand held / portable devices is also desired. BSCS / BSEE / BSCE or equivalent experience, minimal travel required.

You are an effective communicator within technical and non-technical environments. You are a team player, hands-on, detail oriented, and have good prioritization skills. You are able to follow and explain technology developments, and are comfortable making assertive decisions.
