Position Description

This embedded development engineer will be involved in software development of high-performance networking platforms.

The ideal candidate must possess 8+ years of implementation experience in two or more of the following areas:

E-xperience working on embedded operation system kernel or UNIX kernel
-Experience developing drivers for CPU subsystems and/or networking line cards;
-Experience with board bring-up for networking platforms
-Familiarity with one or more commercial network processor ASICs
-The successful candidate is required to have in-depth familiarity with C and assembly programming, as well as good coding and debugging skills. The candidate should also be able to communicate clearly with management and peers on design plans, issue analysis, and project timeframe. General knowledge of networking application is a plus

Position Responsibilities

The candidate will be a core member in the development of new networking platforms and may bear responsibility of influencing future hardware designs. The candidate is expected to implement the system capabilities, bring up and confirm early prototypes, and troubleshoot hw/sw system-level issues. The candidate will interface with peers in hardware engineering as well as software application engineering. This candidate will maintain existing platforms

Position Requirements

BS/MS EE/CS. 8+ years direct software development experiences
