Pittsburg, CA, is looking for an Emergency Services and Security (ES&S) Technician.? This position is responsible for execution of ES&S global work processes.? Preservation of life and property are core elements of the job, that sometimes?are potentially dangerous circumstances.? The incumbent? will perform a variety of fire fighting, rescue, medical and security activities, including non-violent interventions, where situations of workplace violence may exist. ?Primary Responsibilities:?Lead teams in dangerous environments, provide conflict resolution, and often lead project/task teams to achieve results. Mechanical aptitude to inspect, test and verify operational status of a variety of fire suppression and monitoring equipment. Must meet physical qualification requirements of job and pass annual exam. Must be capable of lifting or carrying a minimum of 150 lbs Work as a member of a four person empowered team in 8 hr rotating shift schedule. Overtime required to cover vacancies due to training, vacation, illness of other team members and scheduled meetings. Develop/update/maintain emergency response pre-plans for site facilities. Develop/update/maintain operating discipline associated with execution of work process Lead department sub-teams to enable achievement of department emphasis items Participate as instructor in area of expertise to ensure training qualifications are maintained for emergency response resources on site. Develop/update/maintain emergency response training programs for emergency response resources on site. Become qualified in Dispatch role to support/back up Dispatchers

?High school diploma or GED is required.? Experience or certification in Security and/or Emergency Response is mandatory.? EMT certification is preferred, and can be obtained on the job.

Physical Requirements include:


1. Operate hand tools and equipment up to 60 pounds.


2. Lift or carry a minimum of 150 pounds.


3. Pass annual physical exam.


4. Climb stairs and ladders.


5. Lift and pull heavy hoses and other equipment.
6. Perform tasks wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: respirators, protective clothing, face masks, goggles, boots, Scott?Air Pack, etc.

?????????? Passing pre-employment testing, drug screening and background check.


?????????? The ability to work at heights, climb ladders and in confined spaces.


?????????? The ability to physically operate tools and equipment.


?????????? Ability to successfully complete required training.


?????????? Work 8-hour rotating shift (includes weekends and holidays)
?????????? Work overtime to cover vacancies due to training, vacation, illness of other team members and scheduled meetings.

?????????? Must be able to work with others in an empowered team environment.


?????????? Be able to communicate well, verbally and in writing, and have strong reading comprehension and listening skills.
