Engineer – Sr - (Materials)

We are currently seeking an Engineer, Sr. - Materials for our Dearborn, MI location.

 

Responsibilities and DutiesAssists with the development and implementation of new coating and adhesives going into production by doing qualification and validation trials.Provide technical support, guidance and training to manufacturing facilities in regards to coating and adhesives.Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of the processes, materials and machinery related to coatings & adhesives for customer and internal issues.Get new coatings & adhesives approved or have deviations signed off by the customers Ensure that IMDS requirements are met by Cooper Standard sealing division.Organize and coordinate continuous improvement projects related to the processes, materials and equipment for the manufacturing facilities.

 7. Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.

 

 

Education and/or Experience

1.  Bachelor degree from four-year college or university in Engineering or chemistry.

2.  A minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
