Skyline is specialized in design, manufacturing and installation of custom windows and doors.  It operates in the New York metropolitan area and supplies proprietary products nation wide to mostly high rise and commercial buildings; projects range from 1 unit to 2000 units and more.  It fabricates a variety of window types and utilizes products from other manufacturers. Skyline is able to handle geometric configurations beyond the typical square window.

 

Engineers do:

 

?  Field surveys for measurements, construction inspection and advise in problem solving.

?  Act as liaisons for architects, engineers, contractors, building management, sales personnel, installers, Skyline factory and other manufacturers.

?  Draft construction details on site.

?  Design for projects and compose drawing sets.

?  Prepare and release fabrication and material orders.

?  Prepare structural calculations.

?  Handle projects from start to finish.

 

Education and Skills Required:

 

?  Bachelor?s of Science degree in civil or mechanical engineering.

?  Associates of Applied Science in Engineering Technology will also be considered.

?  Computer literacy in general a must.

?  Proficiency in AutoCad, MS Office particularly in Excel.

?  Good communication skills.

?  Self-starting, team-player, will to learn and able to work independently.

 

Current openings: 1 position in the Custom Engineering Department.  At least 2 years of experience in construction, entry level candidates will also be considered; salary commensurate with experience.
