Engineer - Energy, HVAC

Genesys Engineering is at the forefront of the Energy Engineering field, assisting clients with effective solutions for rising energy costs and other issues that affect a building's environment. Genesys focuses on the energy and utility infrastructure of major facilities, commercial offices, laboratories, industrial plants, and utility power generation sites. We work with our clients to design and execute money saving and system improvement projects and to commission new and existing building energy systems.

 

Genesys has experienced significant growth over the past two years and is poised for further expansion due to volatile energy prices and growing interest in the global warming issue. We are searching for a creative, dynamic individual with 3 to 5 years experience in HVAC design and/or energy system engineering audits to assist us with our continuing growth. This position is in our Albany, NY office in NY's Tech Valley. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with energy systems auditing, engineering, and building commission, and a strong desire to remain in the energy engineering field.  A PE or EIT is a plus.

 

We seek a team player with a spirit of entrepreneurship, a creative approach to problem solving, and the ability to think out of the box. You must want to get out in the field and get your hands dirty discovering energy saving opportunities and solving operational issues. Flexibility and excellent written and verbal communications skills are prerequisites for this unique opportunity. You must demonstrate the ability to work independently, creatively execute complex design assignments for institutional and commercial projects, utilize available resources, and work well with clients and co-workers. This position will involve some travel, mostly in the Northeast.
