Engineer-Finite Element Analysis
We have an immediate need for a contract engineer that can perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA).? The assignment is expected to last from six to twelve months, with a conversion to permanent employment as a real possibility.
The qualified applicants for this Finite Element Analysis (FEA) position should have:
A BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
3 years experience with FEA, preferably ANSYS, however experience in COSMOS, NASTRAN, or MARC will be acceptable if the candidate is willing to learn ANSYS.
Applicants must be self-starters with strong communi?ca?tions skills, capable of carrying out independent investigations and interacting with the rest of the team.
Experience with large antennas, radio telescopes, optical telescopes, or other large steel structures is considered a plus.
Experience with AISC Steel Design Manual and 3-D CAD modeling is also considered a plus.
