Engineer II ( AUTOCAD , ENGINEERING DESIGN)

We are currently seeking an Engineer II to effectively manage work performed by specific architects, vendors, and contractors (where applicable) relating to remodels and new store construction. Assist in the training of Engineering I. Effectively communicate plan changes to appropriate internal and external customers. Effectively respond to requests made by landlords, contractors, vendors, governing authorities, etc. Assist in design of Engineering concepts and fixture plan layouts. Actively seek to improve accuracy, productivity, and effectiveness of all Engineering processes. Keep current on software training and code revisions to effectively perform assigned work. Manage all work related to producing remodel and new store construction documents. Coordinate all Engineering criteria between Food Lion, vendors, landlords, contractors, etc. Seek to improve accuracy, productivity, and effectiveness of all processes in the Engineering Department. Approximately 5% travel, possible overnight. 

 

Skills/Qualifications Required:

 

BS degree in an Engineering discipline.

- Five years experience in Engineering design.

- Five years experience with AutoCAD.

- Very proactive.

- Able to handle many projects at once.

- Creative technical problem solving skills.

- Strong reasoning and communication skills.

- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, Internet, etc.

 

Preferred: - Working knowledge of the retail environment
