ENGINEER III

 TRIMET

 

The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) has an immediate opening for an Engineer III position to perform duties in support of light rail development as a fully competent and experienced engineer. Full-time/Limited term until September 2009.

 

Duties include working on a range of civil and transportation engineering tasks, requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures, criteria, and assisting in the resolution of complex engineering, community, planning, and policy issues.

 

Successful candidates will have the following background:

 Bachelor?s Degree Civil Engineering or related field.

 Professional engineering registration from the State of Oregon is highly desirable.

 Six years of general engineering experience, including experience in public works and bus and light rail transit development. At least two years PC experience required, preferably including AutoCADD.

 

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.

 

TriMet offers an excellent benefit package, hiring range of $56,415 - $70,518 per year.
