Engineer IV - Mechanical

Job Responsibility:

 

?  Provide high level ?hands on? mechanical engineering expertise to a variety of pressure measurement products.

?  Solve diverse mechanical issues in areas such as thermal design, stress/strain analysis (FEA, ANSYS), product packaging, materials and coating selections.

?  Resolve complex technical cross-functional issues regarding meeting product cost target, reliability, testing, component selection, Failure Analysis.

?  Working in a team environment (other mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, technicians and CAD designers) on development of new Pressure Devices.

?  Capability of performing all aspects of mechanical engineering including: concept, analysis, detailed design and performance verification.

 

 Requirements, Knowledge and Skills:

 

?  Strong analytical and computational skills in FEA, heat transfer, tolerance studies for mechanical and thermal consideration.

 

?  Experience in fabrication of machined, molded plastic, die cast and sheet metal components.

 

?  Experience in Pressure and Vacuum technology a plus.

 

?  Failure Analysis of Mechanical systems.

 

?  Design of packaging for electronic systems.

 

?  Must have 3D solid modeling experience, SolidWorks 

 

 

 

Education and Background:

 

?  BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years related experience, MS desirable.

 

?  Proven track record of success in new product development.
