Baker Atlas currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer in the Manufacturing Reliability Engineering Department within HTC Manufacturing. This position is located at 2001 Rankin Rd, Houston TX 77073.

 Responsibilities:


Working with design engineers and manufacturing personnel to manufacture and test products designed for Oilfield Drilling and Logging environments ; Maintain, enhance and sustain existing products; Reduce Repair, Rework and Scrap costs. Performs standard engineering assignments which can be non-routine in nature and are typically a limited portion of a larger project. Develops and implements production methods. Recommends and implements improvements in the production process. Recommends appropriate materials, and/or techniques to carry out a specified sequence of standard engineering tasks. Receives specifications and design constraints from team leader. Provides product support, manufacturing support, and failure analysis. May assist technical support teams in testing new applications and problem solving. Handles special projects, as assigned.


Skill Requirements:


Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and practices of mechanical engineering design. Knowledge of electro-mechanical configuration and packaging. Familiarity with vibration, shock and pressure test equipment operation. Basic knowledge of drafting techniques/standards; AutoCAD and Solidworks CAD packages. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic problem-solving skills. Knowledge of general principles, concepts, theories, and practices of applicable discipline.


 Education/Experience:


Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
