Engineer - Mechanical Design
Job Responsibilities
The Engineering Safety & Design Review Group is responsible for conducting independent technical reviews of safety related/QA scope products. Major responsibilities would include the technical review of modifications, calculations, engineering evaluations, equivalency revaluations, 10CFR50.59/72.48 safety screenings and evaluations, operability recommendations, set point changes, and Technical Specification Bases Changes.
Experience
The following experience/expertise is highly desirable: Nuclear power plant mechanical systems, industry codes and standards, previous modification, calculation and construction.
Education
Candidates must possess a Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or other related major).
Certifications/Licenses
PE license is highly desirable.
Additional Information
Travel to support NMC objectives and act as a member of the emergency response organization may be part of the requirements of this position.
Candidates must satisfy all Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission security requirements.
** This position is currently represented by Local 2150 IBEW.
