A great opportunity with MasterBrand Cabinets could exist for you as an Operations Engineer at our facility in Martinsville, VA.

 

Position Summary: 

Using lean and six-sigma tools and methods, develop and implement continuous improvements to manufacturing processes and systems. Lead and participate in kaizen events driving toward implementing best practices across the corporation. Conceptualize, design and implement machines, fixtures, tooling etc. to mistake proof fabrication and assembly operations.

 

Accountabilities: 

?  Support manufacturing troubleshooting while driving to root cause resolution

?  Work with all departments to implement solutions to systemic issues

?  Develop, design and implement new manufacturing processes and techniques

?  Interact with counterparts throughout the corporation to implement best practices

?  Analyze, develop, recommend and implement solutions to meet production requirements for new or improved products and/or processesJustify, specify, obtain approval, order, and install processes, tooling and equipment

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience: 

? Ability to foster a team environment

? Demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment

? Excellent verbal communication skills

? Ability to facilitate problem resolution

? Knowledge of lean manufacturing, kaizen, six-sigma, kanban, and 5S

? Working knowledge of manufacturing processes

? Excellent project management skills

? Ability to multi-task and prioritize a must

? Two to four years of related experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in automotive or wood manufacturing preferred

 

Education: 

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
