Position Description:

Own any part of the process from netlist handoff to tapeout: floorplanning, place and route, timing closure, and physical verification. Verify effects of crosstalk and electromigration. Support ASIC die size estimation studies and resource and schedule planning.

Write scripts in Perl and TCL to achieve higher performance and productivity through automation.

Work with an experienced and motivated team to address exciting opportunities in the areas of DVB-H, VoIP, and others.

Combine Broadcom's wealth of IP with the best commercial tools to produce chips on time, and yet hit tough area/speed/power/yield targets.

Qualifications:

Expertise in ASIC physical design (place and route, DRC, LVS, power distribution, etc.) preferred BSEE (MSEE plus) with 8+ years related experience. Experience with Magma tools highly desirable. Experience running PrimeTime also desirable.
